Transportation & Communications
A community and transportation infrastructure crisis exists in the United States. The NJCM strongly advocates increased federal funding for infrastructure projec ts, including the release of stimulus funds for “ready-to-go” infrastructure projects within our state that will create jobs, support economic development and improve our quality of life. Mass and public transportation projects should be a top priority, as they carry not only significant economic benefits but also the ability to improve our environment and address ongoing energy concerns. We believe the government should establish a permanent, dedicated revenue stream that will enable municipal governments to effectively meet the infrastructure needs of their communities.
