In 2004,
Gift of Life formed a partnership with the New Jersey
Conference of Mayors to spread awareness on organ and
tissue donation with municipalities across New Jersey
as part of the Workplace Partnership for Life. This
past fall, Gift of Life launched partnerships during
council meetings with the New Jersey Boroughs of
Glassboro, Elmer and Somerdale. By signing on as
Workplace Partners, these municipalities have
committed to educating residents, employees and local
businesses about the importance of organ and tissue
donation. These three townships are the first in their
respective counties to join the Workplace Partnership,
and they will implement informational campaigns over
the next few months.
