Education
New Jersey must maintain a quality educational system to support not only the economic prosperity of our state but also the dreams and aspirations of our children. To accomplish this, we endorse a coordinated state and federal approach including early childhood education, health and nutrition, social services, and parental involvement – with emphasis on the importance of pre-K programs, after-school programs and full-day learning strategies to give our students every possible opportunity to succeed. We also call on the federal government to assist local school districts in their efforts to provide adequate learning facilities, construct green schools and make much-needed green school repairs, retr ofits and modernizations.
