Crime & Homeland Security

A safe, secure environment for all New Jerseyans – both at home and in the workplace – is one of our highest priorities. We recognize that municipalities cannot accomplish this alone, and we call for federal assistance to ensure this fundamental right. We support full funding for law enforcement and community policing grants. We urge Congress to adopt tough crime prevention and anti-gang measures, as well as effective laws to deter theft and other crimes against property. The NJCM also supports federal policies to help communities maintain high levels of hometown and homeland security. This should include support for first responders, homeland security activities and public safety programs.
